Home Is Where the Heart Is

Why I Created Wholesome Southern Views – A soft place to land for faith, family, and reflection.

Chamblee Middle School 2025 Career Day Volunteer, Leslie Z. Ramirez

For a long time, I was writing within spaces that didn’t reflect my core values. While I respect those journeys, I often found myself surrounded by voices that didn’t hold space for faith, family, or community in the way I believe they matter most.

It wasn’t until I took a pause — prayed, reflected, and really listened — that I realized I was being called to create something of my own. A platform that felt like home.

Wholesome Southern Views was born from that moment of clarity. It’s a space rooted in grace, storytelling, and the steady things that hold us together — like God, family, and a sense of belonging.

Here, I’m building something that aligns with my values, and I welcome others to pull up a chair and feel seen. Whether you’re here for thoughtful essays, gentle reminders, or just a quiet read with your morning coffee — I hope you’ll find something that speaks to you.

This is my front porch. You’re always welcome.

About

I’m Leslie Zeline — a Latina writer, mom, and community connector rooted in the South. I use storytelling to spotlight voices, elevate everyday heroes, and hold space for meaningful conversations. This platform is my front porch: a place where truth, tenderness, and advocacy sit side by side.
